This site's only form is the launch notify sign-up. Submitting it sends your email address — plus the two-letter country your request appears to come from and the page you arrived from, both read from Cloudflare's edge at request time — to [email protected], delivered through Resend, our email provider, which processes the message in transit, so the team can reply and, at launch, send one announcement email. Kith keeps no subscriber database of its own; the inbox is the list.
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, trackers, or third-party scripts of its own — it does load fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, which receive the visitor's IP address and user agent the way any request to a third-party host does.
Opt-in telemetry from self-hosted tret
If you run tret yourself, telemetry is off unless you or your admin turns it on. When it's on, a small, aggregate-only report — never prompts, outputs, names, or free text — is sent roughly weekly to telemetry.kithailab.com. See the Open data page for exactly what's in a report and what never is.
- The receiving service never stores IP addresses, user agents, or any other request header
- The random instance id is deleted immediately when an admin or the CLI turns telemetry off; if it's instead locked off by the operator (environment variable), the id is deleted at the next restart. Turning telemetry on again mints a new id, with no identifier in the payload connecting it to the one before
- Raw reports are kept for 13 months and then deleted
- The running totals that back the public Open data page are kept in a separate table that survives that deletion
- Public aggregates never show a group backed by fewer than 5 instances
Turn it off any time with TRET_TELEMETRY=off or DO_NOT_TRACK=1.
Tret Cloud
Tret Cloud, the hosted version of tret, does not send this telemetry — reporting is forced off in that build — and is covered by its own terms, not this note.
